This Sunday 9th June Pentecost 3: Burning Truth ~ a service with a little more of a musical flavour. News & Notices for the week below.

News & Notices

Glasgow Cathedral Choral Society at Dunlop Kirk, 3:00pm, programme includes Gloria (Vivaldi) & Little Jazz Mass (Bob Chilcott), Tickets £5 from Isabel Kerr Tel 01560 484421 or Mob 07767361370.

East Ayrshire Foodbank is now the largest Foodbank in Scotland.   To continue the excellent work they do they need increased support.   There is now a collection box at the front of the Church for pasta and rice, pasta sauce, stock cubes or tinned goods.   Please remember the Foodbank when you are doing your weekly shop – one extra little item in your basket will go a long way to help their work.

Songs of Praise, St John’s Onthank, 6.30pm.  The service includes items from members of the praise band, ‘Awaken’, who played at Presbytery recently. The hymns were chosen and the service organised, and will be led, largely by members of the congregation.  Tea and biscuits and a chance to chat will follow the service, and everyone will be made most welcome.

Our Sri Lankan friends have all safely returned home and are probably still regaling their family and friends with stories of their Scottish adventure.  All three are extremely grateful of the support, welcome and friendship they received from members of Fenwick Parish Church and extending their heartfelt thankyous.  We have a budget overrun of about £380 largely due to the extra cost of the flights at the time of booking.  If you would like to contribute to reduce that deficit simply place your donation in an envelope marked “Sri Lankan Dreams” and place it in the plate or speak directly with Shona Crosbie.  Thank you.

Sunday Funday, A big thank you to all who took part and to all who so generously donated to Epilepsy Scotland raising £92.76.
